Makeup As A Tool For Actors
(lecture & seminar)

Calling upon over thirty years experience as a professional makeup artist, Kelly will inform
your students, while stirring their creative imaginations with live demonstrations, as well
as first-hand exposure to professional makeup materials and tools of the trade.

In a forty-five minute lecture, drama students will learn makeup basics; proper makeup
terminology, as well as the correct way to apply base, and other makeup techniques.
A practical working makeup kit is also displayed and broken down, so students can see
just what goes into a professional kit. Kelly also supplies hand-outs, with listings of
makeup suppliers and on-line resources, so students can build their own makeup kits, or
make a "class kit" for school productions.

The two-hour seminar encourages students to take notes, and ask questions. Kelly thoroughly
explains what goes into a professional makeup kit, and also demonstrates different makeup
techniques on fellow students. Prosthetic makeup and application is also covered. makeup kit
supply lists, and resource hand-outs are included in the seminar, as well as an article that will
pertain to a certain makeup style, or a character of current interest.

Questions are encouraged thru-out Kelly's lectures, and demonstrations. Although the presentations
are structured, there is plenty of room for catering to specific areas of interest for the class.
